Improved notification emails for Feedback Forum

We’ve made some huge improvements to the notification mails associated with the Feedback Forum. Content and layout has been completely re-designed, using your own website’s colors and logo, making it a lot more fun to use the Feedback Forum – both as a webmaster and user. All e-mails sent to webmasters are in English, but e-mails sent to users are in the same language as your Feedback Forum. Here’s a quick rundown:

“New idea” – for webmaster(s)

Triggered when someone posts a new idea in your Feedback Forum. It’s easy to edit or comment on the new idea – and you’ll even get a nifty little list on most popular ideas at the moment. View example

“Bug report” – for webmaster(s)

Triggered when someone issues a bug through your Feedback Forum. You’ll get usefull information such as the user’s operating system, email address and internet browser. View example

“New comment” – for users

When a user post or comment on an idea, he or she can choose to stay updated through email notifications. This email informs the user that a new comment was made on the idea followed by the user. View example

“New status” – for users

When a user post or comment on an idea, he or she can choose to stay updated through email notifications. This email informs the user when the webmaster changes the status on the idea followed by the user. View example

Google Analytics promoting UserReport

UserReport’s Google Analytics integration caught the attention of the Google Analytics team and that resulted in a blog post about UserReport at the official Google Analytics Blog.

The blog post focuses on the ability to segment your Google Analytics data by demographics and other data collected using our online survey but also unveils some of the findings that SAXO.com did using UserReport and Google Analytics. Developer Program Manager, John Milinovich, encourages the blog reader to “Give it a try to see what you can uncover about your own online audience!”.

At UserReport we are proud to be part of the Google Analytics API developer program and very happy about the promotion of our free web app.

Google Analytics Application Gallery features UserReport

The Google Analytics App Gallery lists a wide variety of applications that integrates with Google Analytics in different ways. UserReport is now the featured application by Google Analytics.

UserReport was initially listed in the App Gallery in May 2011 when we introduced our first generation of the Google Analytics integration. The analytics integration was made using the Google Analytics API.

The 2nd generation of our Google Analytics integration was launched just recently and got the attention of the Google Analytics team that decided to make UserReport their featured application in the Analytics App Gallery.

Last week Google even did a post about our free web app at the official Google Analytics Blog.
